Impact Statement from Nonprofit

One of the significant strengths of YTA’s organizational and program model is that we are committed to establishing a very real and permanent presence in the heart of the communities we serve, which creates the potential for our programs—especially in collaboration with other partners--to have wide-spread and long-lasting impact on the community as a whole. We expect that by having an immediate and regular positive presence in young people’s daily lives that the health and fitness of hundreds of low-income families will be improved. It is also our belief that the physical activity and healthy habits that YTA participants incorporate into their lives will in turn be shared with other family members and friends. The message that a successful student athlete must use time management and a positive attitude to accomplish what is necessary to compete will be communicated by everyone in the organization. It is our ultimate dream that entire families will become engaged with one another and with their neighbors on and off the court after participating in YTA programs.
