Jaya P. Egan has worked for over 20 years with nonprofit health and social service organizations that serve vulnerable populations, using a wide range of integrated, community-based services. Ms. Egan has held Executive and National Directorships for numerous organizations including Counseling4Kids, YWCA of Monterey County, Women of Vision-World Vision, Inc., and the
Bronx-Westchester Area Health Education Center. She has extensive experience in senior executive leadership, health and social service programming, fiscal management, strategic planning, donor relations, and fundraising. Jaya has lectured extensively on community health and social service programs across the country. Ms. Egan is an innovative and visionary leader. She completed her doctoral studies in Health Behavior & Health Education/Social Science at the
University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill School of Public Health. She obtained her M.P.H. degree at the
University of Hawaii at Manoa in
Honolulu, Hawaii and her B.S. degree in Health Science & Nutrition from the City University of New York (C.U.N.Y.) Baccalaureate Program in
New York, New York.

Every year, LACHC hosts 2 Foot Washing events on Skid Row where the homeless, who suffer from many chronic foot issues, are able to get their feet washed and treated. The success of this event relies on the donations of the following items:
