Mission Statement

UMFAF was founded in 1987 by a core group of interested alumni to address the needs and wishes of alumni and friends contributing to the University of Maine at Farmington. The Foundation has the fiduciary responsibility to accept gifts and to ensure the completion of each donor's philanthropic plan. Although a separate and independent entity from the University, its sole purpose is to benefit the school through the acquisitions of assets and investment of those assets.
