Mission Statement

Redirecting the Path and Potential of Vulnerable Children

Program 1

Kismet Programming

Kismet students are of diverse socio-cultural backgrounds, traveling from Bartlett and Manchester, NH and Boston, MA to attend courses in White Mountains of New Hampshire. They participate in carefully designed, one-week long programs that develop skills for tope rope and multi-pitch climbing, belaying, gear use, weather prediction, route finding and related activities -- all in our White Mountains, New Hampshire classroom. Students face great challenges during the coursework, gaining an understanding of themselves and their relationship to others and the environment as a result.
Kismet currently operates for seven weeks of the year, during summer, providing scholarships for approximately 70 students.
