PCAV serves several thousand people each year through implementation of the following: (1) Parents Together Support Groups, (2) Nurturing Parent, Child and Teen Programs, (3) Care for Kids, (4) Shaken Baby Prevention Training Project, (5) Understanding Sexuality in Children and Adolescents and Understanding and Responding to Sexual Behavior of Children, and (6) SAFE-T or Sexual Abuse Free Environment for Teens Program. In addition to these effective activities, PCAV creates and distributes broadly a guide to child development, Vermont Parents Home Companion and Resource Directory (more than 168,000 recipients to date), and operates a toll-free parents? stress line, 1-(800)-CHILDREN, which received 300+ calls in 2002.
