Program 1

The Camp Hale Alumni Association serves Camp Hale, its campers and staff in a number of ways... 1. Work Weekend: dozens of members volunteer two days each spring to prepare camp for the season. Tasks include dock placement, grounds keeping, building maintenance, structural and electrical work, cleaning, activity area preparation. 2. Donations: The alumni provide several thousand dollars in direct financial assistance annually. We also donate program materials, capital equipment and a great deal of "sweat equity" on a regular basis. 3. Camper Tuition Assistance: the alumni pays all fees for a number of needy youth who reside in the target area of Boston. Interested parents may apply to us in writing. 4. CHA is building an endowment fund to provide a reliable and sustainable source of funding for Camp Hale. This is supported through individual donations. 5. The Alumni are also developing a counselor scholarship initiative to provide successful U.S. resident staff members of Camp Hale with post-secondary tuition assistance and alumni mentors. Graduates will be able to draw upon a network of alumni members for placement assistance. This initiative is to be funded by a partnership of foundations, corporations and individuals... please inquire. 6. The Camp Hale Alumni seek to maintain the lifelong friendships developed at camp through our newsletter and the Alumni Weekend & Auction. We also help our own. Cards and flowers are sent when appropriate. No Camp Hale Alum is ever refused membership in the association, or admission to Alumni Weekend due to lack of funds. Such donations are strictly confidential, please contact the Chairman of the Board of Directors directly for more information. CHA holds a Golf Tournament each fall, spaces are limited so inquire early. Hats and shirts availible by mailorder. Camp Hale turns 100 in 2000... celebrate with us as we seek to reach the 200th anniversary.
