Mission Statement

Established in 1977, Vinfen helps individuals with disabilities develop and attain the highest possible level of independence and quality of life. Vinfen supports thousands of men, women, and children in more than 250 sites in eastern Massachusetts and northeastern Connecticut.

Developmental Disabilities Services: over 900 people served > Residential, rehabilitation, and family support services > Featured Program: Gateway Arts, is an internationally recognized prevocational arts program for artists with disabilities. Psychiatric Rehabilitation Services: over 2000 people served > Residential, day, peer support and outreach services > Featured Programs: Webster House, a clubhouse that helps individuals reach a higher level of independence through vocational training; the Peer Educators Project: connects people with mental illness in mutual help groups; and the Hancock Center, a nursing home.
