Mission Statement

The Seabeee Museum and Memorial Park preserves the history of the US Navy Seabees at their original home. It also provides displays of several vintage Quonset Hut which were developed at this base to support the military in WW-II. On the grounds can be seen the concrete Chapel-in-the-Pines, built by Seabess in 1960, and the famous 3,200 pound steel Seabee statue that stood at Gate 1 of the former Navy Base. The Museum also documents the service of the US navy Seabees from 1942 to the present.

The Museum seeks to share this rich history of milirary and civic support worldwide with the public. The Museum also works with the local Sea Cadets to instill values in America's youth.

The Seabee Museum and Memorial Park has actively supported the US Naval Sea Cadets, NCBC Battalion, at Quonset Point, RI, the oldest of the three Sea Cadet units in  for over 10 years. The Museum offers various forms of assistance to the Sea Cadets and volunteers from the Museum provide advisory support. Sea Cadets are brought into patriotic events held at the Museum and provide honor guaards at various funtions.

Veteran organization support

The Fleet Reserve Association which is non-profit organization of active duty, reserve and retired U.S. Navy, Marine Corps and Coast Guard personnel. Many, but not all, Museum volunteers are eligible for membership, About 25% do join. The Fleet Reserve Association is committed to support and protect the interests its members and their families. The association provides assistance to individuals and families by maintaining close contact with government agencies.

The Seabee Museum and Memorial Park provides meeting space for the local chapter and makes the grounds available for various Fleet Reserve functions.
