Program 1

CATS4Kids programs are comprised of an after-school computer lab for students and a parent information resource center. Many low-income families do not have access to a computer at home. Because of this, we will provide access to technical resources during school hours for the parents and after school for students. While the after-school computer lab is focused particularly on students, our center will encourage parents to use the computers at the same time. In addition, we will partner with the school to serve as a supplemental educational source to ensure that our programs align with local school curriculum. This will enable instructors to assess students' strengths and weaknesses and target instruction to areas of need and required resources. The programs will include parents, teachers, staff, students and community representatives working together to ensure the success of the entire school community.
