Mission Statement

KCOBA USA Inc. is an Alumni organization, established in 1982 for the purpose of supporting and promoting Kingston College, its alums and our local communities. We provide a network, in partnership with Kingston College, where old boys and friends can join us and share in the Fortis Pride, Network and Philanthropy.

The aims and objectives of KCOBA USA are:
To promote the interest of Kingston College and those who attended that institution;
To uphold and perpetuate it's teachings;
To promote a better understanding of, and an appreciation for, the cultural heritage of Jamaica;
To formulate economic and social ideas for the betterment of the human family and KC in particular;
To engage in fundraising activities to obtain the means to assist needy students and special projects at Kingston College, Jamaica, West Indies, and deserving local charities in the USA

R. Perry Bloomfield

BIO

R. Perry Bloomfield graduated Kingston College 1988 where he studied science. His extracurricular activities started with the Kingston College Chapel Choir, Cadet Corp, and Basketball. He migrated to New York in 1994 where he attended York College and graduated magna cum laude. He is an Information Systems (IT) Engineer providing systems analysis, planning, design, implementation, security, and support of IT infrastructures to securely enable businesses and empower users.


Perry is inspired by and subscribes to the Rt. Rev Bishop Percival W. Gibson's story. He is committed to promoting and supporting Fortis Forever. He believes that Fortis means, the relentless pursuit of excellence - in spite of the odds. He takes pride working with the team of volunteers, called the board of directors, to lead the effort to increase the scholarship offering annually to at-risk students of Kinston College and its alums who matriculate to tertiary institutions.

STATEMENT FROM THE President

"For over the thirty years, we have sponsored scholarships and other programs at Kingston College in Jamaica, West Indies. Our recipients have proved themselves to be the best and brightest that the school has produced. We are proud of a one hundred percent (100%) graduation rate. Also, eighty five percent (85%) of our scholarship students have gone on to study at colleges and universities in Jamaica and overseas."
