Mission Statement

The mission of the United Synagogue of Conservative Judaism is to strengthen and serve our congregations and their members.

We create, develop and disseminate educational, religious and tikun olam programming to meet the needs of our congregations and their members.

We seek to create communities of Conservative congregations in each of our regions and throughout North America.

We work in concert with other institutions and organizations of the Conservative Movement to promote, nurture and foster a vibrant Movement.

We are both an advocate and a spokesperson for the congregations of the Conservative Movement.

We are dedicated to strengthening the connections between North
American Conservative Jews, the Jewish People and the State of Israel.

Program 1

The United Synagogue of Conservative Judaism (USCJ) provides services that enrich the lives of Conservative Jews throughout North America. Programs such as USY and Kadima for youth, KOACH on Campus for university students, HAZAK for seniors and Project Reconnect (the organization's Alumni Association) help to ensure the creative survival of Conservative Judaism across the generations. In addition, the United Synagogue trains synagogue leaders in ritual skills and leadership development through the IMUN and Sulam programs and develops curricula and other materials for congregational schools. On the national and international levels, the United Synagogue works on behalf of all Conservative Jews to develop responses to pressing social and religious issues.
