How does this organization make a difference?

Overview

Self-reported by organization

Last year was busy for the Stuyvesant High School Alumni Association. The SHSAA distributed allocated and directed funds for programs and equipment to numerous Stuyvesant departments, labs, clubs, publications, and teams, as well as awarded scholarships and grants to over 70 deserving Stuyvesant students. This coming year we expect to increase our giving to benefit even more recipients at the school. We also helped organize class reunions, and held social and cultural events for alumni throughout the year.

What are the organization's current programs, how do they measure success, and who do the programs serve?

Program 1

What We Do Our first mandate is to help Stuyvesant High School and the student body. We accomplish this with allocations in the form of grants to departments, technology services, teams, student publications, clubs, and individual students. Our second goal is to maintain relations between alumni. In addition to maintaining an office at the school and a web site, we publish three newsletters, hold an Annual General Meeting and social events, and assist numerous reunions.
