To build and maintain a carousel in the Village of Saranac Lake, New York, a community carousel built with community hands. We seek to strengthen our community by providing a responsible means of healthy growth for the Adirondack Region.

We will be providing not only a Carousel for visitors and local residents to ride, but also programs on traditional arts and wildlife native to the region. We will also have lessons in math, science, and the environment based on the carousel.

Mr. Roland Patnode

BIO

Mr. Patnode grew up in the Adirondack Region. His roots grow deep and so does his community involvement. Mr. Patnode is the kind of person that in the middle of the night will come out and fix your trouble, be it a broken down car or a lost cat. Mr. Patnode has worked in the communications field all his life and is currently build a emergency radio network for the entire North Country region. He hold training sessions with the local Red Cross and the HAM Radio club. Our community is a safer place thanks to Mr. Patnode. The Carousel is a stronger organization with him as chair.
