Mission Statement

Buffalo Prep provides a challenging accelerated academic program for talented African American, Hispanic, and Native American students that prepares them for competitive high school and leading colleges. Students attend classes during the summer and after-school and on weekends during the school year and receive 2-3 hours of homework per night, all addition to their regular school work. Students spend hundreds of hours studying math, science, English and history and are tested on critical thinking, problem solving, time-management and study skills

Buffalo Prep has expanded to a three-pronged program for our minority students: Primary Prep, an academic and cultural enrichment six-week summer program for qualified post-5th and 6th graders; Secondary Prep, a 14-month accelerated academic program for post-7th and 8th graders; and Graduate Prep, a college and career advisement program for juniors and seniors.
