Program 1

Activism

1) Campus Fellows Initiative for pro-Israel students (Jewish, Christian and Muslim) that begins with an intensive week-long summer seminar and is followed by ongoing alumni programs. This initiative creates an articulate and motivated network of campus-based advocates, who will gain the capacity to implement effective pro-Israel programming on their respective campuses. 2) Utilizing hotline and onsite visits, provide consulting services for campus activism. 3) provide pro-Israel pastors and lay members with information and networking opportunities to counter dishonest narrative; educational programs to build awareness of the persecution of Christians under Islamic rule to mobilize American Christians to address the true causes of Christian suffering in the Middle East. 3) Run David Project Teacher Training Seminars to provide faculty and administration with the methodology and content for implementing our Israel advocacy curriculum.

STATEMENT FROM THE Principal Officer

"he David Project has gone through a pretty significant shift in how we do things. Our mission is basically the same—to shape the campus discussion on Israel—but we are doing it in a very different way. We have moved from a more frontal approach to advocacy to a more relational approach. We believe relationships make the world go round. We educate and empower students in both the content and the skills necessary to form a robust network of relationships on campus, and teach and guide them in leveraging those relationships to raise understanding and support for Israel. We also have moved from addressing problems wherever they appear (there are 4000 institutions of higher learning in this country alone!) to a more focused approach in which we pick our spots carefully, knowing that to be all things to all people means that you are not going to be very effective at any one place. Our goal is to help improve the campus environment, and that means directing our efforts in places where we can really make a difference. Our new website is designed to help empower student leaders and to tell our story, and the stories of our students, to the larger community of supporters for Israel. We hope you will join us on this journey to make campus a more thoughtful, nuanced and supportive environment for Israel and its supporters!"
