- To advance the awareness and understanding of computer technology.

- To provide mentorship, in which professionals, trades people and retirees both learn computer skills while mentoring directly with at-risk youth.

- To better educate those persons that maybe searching for gainful employment or have limitations in life because of their lack of computer knowledge.

- To inspire and enable all young people, especially those from disadvantaged circumstances, to realize their full potential as productive, responsible citizens.

Buddies Ready

BUDDIES READY! prepares youth ages 13-17 with specific skills to secure employment and be successful in the world of work. Using comprehensive program materials, assessment tools, and Internship, we provide a hand-on curriculum and instruction that will prepare our students for an entry level PC Technician position. In addition, those attending learn how to identify job opportunities, write effective resumes, perform well in interviews, dress appropriately, develop good work habits and get along well with others in the workplace.

BIO

Adam Stephens has a BSS in Behavioral Management from OhioUniversity, and a Microsoft Certified Professional with nearly 15 years experience in the Information Technolgy arena. He studied in the University of Akron Urban Planning and Development masters program. He is also certified in Managing Small Projects through the Novations Group. He has teaching credentials for grades K-12 with the ClevelandPublicSchool District with over 4 years practical experience. He has created and oversaw a number of charitable projects for numerous non-profit organizations throughout his 14 years of experience as a community service servant.
