IndyFringe Festival & Theatre

IndyFringe owns and operates the IndyFringe Basile 100 seat Theatre and the Indy Eleven 70 seat Theatre in downtown Indianapolis. IndyFringe presents an annual summer festival which attracts 20,000 people to performances in comedy, cabaret, dance, drama, magic, music and more. IndyFringe also stages DivaFest for women playwrights, OnyxFest for African American playwrights, Ten Minute Play Festival and a national Winter Magic Festival.

Executive Director

Pauline Mary Moffat

BIO

Pauline Moffat has been Executive Director for eleven years. Pauline has a background in marketing, public relations and special events. She completed the Certificate of Fundraising Management, Centre on Philanthropy, in 2005. Pauline moved to Indianapolis from Melbourne, Australia in 2005.
Pauline was awarded Nuvo's Cultural Vision Award in 2007 and the Marilyn and Gene Glick Award in 2008. Both awards are given to leaders in the community who have had essential and significant impact on a particular project that provides economic, social and/or cultural benefit to the community. Pauline has twice won for IndyFringe the $25,000 Efroymson Cultural Tourism competitive grant in 2009 and 2012. Pauline was named one of IBJ's Women of Influence in 2012.
Pauline has a proven record of management and fundraising. Under her leadership IndyFringe has completed two capital campaigns:
• the restoration and renovation of the IndyFringe Building
• the purchase of the IndyFringe building and adjacent land
• the restoration of Spring Street, an historic alley and installation a EPIC 'green' parking area
• vacation of Spring Street by The City of Indianapolis
• built The Trailhead and Indy Eleven Theatre, part community centre, theatre and public space.
With one part-time staff and volunteers, IndyFringe has
• produced 10 festivals averaging l0% growth per year
• established the IndyFringe Basile Theatre as a viable, exciting year-round theatre hosting shows by emerging and established local, national and international artists. Built the Indy Eleven 70 seat experimental theatre.
