Charting Impact

Five powerful questions that require reflection about what really matters - results.

  1. What is the organization aiming to accomplish?
We are demystifying the cancer diagnosis. We give life saving information to enable cancer patients to make smarter and more informed decisions. Additionally we provide great ideas and direction for those cancers that are preventable.
  2. What are the organization's key strategies for making this happen?
Our strategy is to empower the cancer patient and provide them with all the resources they need to fight cancer. We also tell our clients about all the other cancer charities that are available to support them.
  3. What are the organization's capabilities for doing this?
We have a dynamic web site and provide online and phone support to cancer patients.
  4. How will they know if they are making progress?
We know we are making progress based on client feedback and the volume and types of calls we receive.
  5. What have and haven't they accomplished so far?
When individuals and families discover that they have cancer, they often become immobilized. Well meaning doctors often do not have the time and resources to explain everything that a patient needs. As long as their is cancer, there will be a need to help people navigate this horrible disease.

Funding Needs

ACF/ACES is always looking for supporters and funds to maintain our outreach programs. We are currently looking to expand our phone services, website, childhood cancer research and require donor support to accomplish this. Our last certified audit shows that 78 cents of every dollar collected is used to support our programs. This is one of the highest ratios in the industry.
