To promote bicycling and walking as environmentally friendly, healthful and enjoyable, to work with organizations and agencies to create better policy, planning, design, and infrastructure for bicycling, walking, and trails, to educate the public as to best practices related to bicycling, walking, and road safety, and to create, promote, and work for the adoption of bicycle and pedestrian safety training programs and curriculum.

BIO

Dr. Brent D. Hugh has two bachelor's degrees and three graduate degrees in the fields of mathematics and music performance from Brigham Young University, Utah State University, and the University of Missouri-Kansas City Conservatory of Music. 1998-2005 Brent was Assistant Professor of Missouri at Missouri Western State University in St. Joseph. He has been webmaster, president, and now Executive Director of the Missouri Bicycle Federation. He lives in Raytown, Missouri, with his wife, Jan, where he puts about 5,000 miles per year on his fleet of three recumbent bicycles. His main ride is to pre-school and back each day with his 11-year old son Jonathan and twin 4-year-old pre-schoolers, Naomi and Amanda, in tow.
