Mission Statement

Tanzania is one of the poorest countries in the the world and the cost of secondary education ($600-$800/year) is more than most families can afford. Tutaweza operates on the belief that change must happen from within a country, and education is a key to empowering people to make a difference.

Program 1

The scholarship program is currently the sole focus of Tutaweza. During 2007, our first year, there are nine students enrolled. Tutaweza's principles cover all costs associated with administration and overhead, thus literally 100% of collected funds go directly to students in need.
