Public Library Services throughout Erie County, NY

The Buffalo & Erie County Public Library maintains popular, diverse, distinctive and specialized collections throughout its libraries which include the Central Library, 8 City of Buffalo Branch libraries and 28 contracting libraries serving communities throughout Erie County. Each offers its own unique facility, atmosphere, services and collections.

The Institutional Services Division provides library services through branches in Erie the Erie County Home; Erie County Correctional Facility; the Erie County Holding Center; and through outreach to area senior facilities.

Special Collections: The Buffalo & Erie County Public Library's numerous and varied special collection meet the unique needs and recurring demands of Erie County's students, scholars and general public.

The Buffalo & Erie County Public Library provides public library service to the residents of Erie County, NY through a Central Library in Downtown Buffalo, NY, 36 library outlets located throughout the County's 1,043 square miles and a high-tech "Library on Wheels"
