The Somerset Hills Education Foundation's (SHEF) mission is to promote and provide education opportunities through innovative programs and projects for the benefit of the students of The Somerset Hills School District by encouraging excellence; fostering creative learning and teaching; facilitating our students development; developing school,community and business partnerships promoting community awareness of educational challenges and solutions.

Program 1

Over the last 11 years, SHEF has contributed more than $185,000 to 131 teacher initiated mini-grants that have gone directly to fostering creativity and promoting excellence in our community's classrooms. Since 2006, SHEF has spearheaded the Computers on Wheels (COWs) initiative, 102 laptop computers are now available on carts in our schools. SHEF contributed over $130,000 to the effort, partnering with our Home and School Associations to bring this innovative program to our schools.
