Program 1

Postcards from the Aquarium

We are looking to partner with 12 elementary schools in New Orleans and the NO Aquarium to create a traveling educational exhibit.  Students will paint two 4'x6' "postcards" murals that will be specially created from specific sites at the aquarium.  One mural will become part of the Aquarium's educational traveling exhibit, one will remain with the students at the school who painted it.

This program can be replicated throught the country and world as a valuable teaching tool.

Funding Needs

We are always looking for funding because the need for color and comfort is never ending.  All donations great and small are gratefully accepted. We encourage corporations to include an employee team building event in their calendars on a yearly basis, it is a small request with enourmous results.

STATEMENT FROM THE Principal Officer

"Our goal is to provide "Medicine for the Soul" by inviting patients, residents, family members, medical staff, volunteers to help transform their environment into something beautiful.  Most patients and residents have no say in their bedtime, what they will have for dinner, and the list goes on but WE help them have a say in their surroundings by picking up a paint brush and adding their own personal brushstroke to their environment."
