The purpose of the Society is to promote the interest, education, and advancement of it's members in the science of astronomy, and to stimulate the interest of the public and to educate the public in this branch of science.

Mr. Phil De Rosa

BIO

Phil De Rosa is current president of the Society. He has been working to obtain a dark site for construction of a new observatory facility, and has recieved cooperation from Hopewell Township, which has offered use of property once sufficient funding has been achived. He envisions that over a period of continued effort and education, someday we will have efficient and responsible lighting in the region, and lessoned light pollution on the East Coast, so that we may once again see the Milky Way easily from wherever we live.
