The Community Service, Education and Research Fund, a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization, exists as a vehicle to involve physicians and the larger healthcare community in community service, education, and research with the goal of increasing access to healthcare services, improving health outcomes, and building the future healthcare system.

Sacramento Physicians Initiative to Reach out, Innovate and Teach (SPIRIT)

The Sacramento Physicians Initiative to Reach out, Innovate and Teach (SPIRIT) seeks to engage volunteer physicians in the delivery of quality, compassionate medical care to the uninsured so that they may lead healthy and productive lives. Case management services are provided by SPIRIT in support of donated services that in primary and specialty clinics, as well as in private physician offices, hospitals and surgery centers in the greater Sacramento region.

Adopt-A-School seeks to empower school-aged children, through health education and positive role models, to make healthy lifestyle choices now and in the future. Volunteer physicians provide these educational opportunities in classrooms throughout the greater Sacramento region.
