Funding Needs

At Minnesota State Colleges and Universities, there remains an increasing need for student scholarships and emergency financial aid, particularly from families adversely affected by the current economic market; this need will continue to rise in the coming years, making student financial assistance one of the Minnesota State Colleges and Universities Foundation’s fundraising top priorities.   The Foundation also supports many externally-funded projects across a broad range of program areas—from college readiness to cultural competency and awareness.  Primary focus areas for corporate and foundation giving include: Maintain affordability through named scholarships. Ensure college readiness of graduating high school students throughout Minnesota. Increase high school and college students interests in science, technology, and math. Enhance nursing and teacher education programs. Establish  new career pathways and job training programs designed to meet future workforce needs.
