Overview

Self-reported by organization

Pasadena Educational Foundation's major accomplishments in the 2012-13 school year included:
• Raising more than $11 million in public and private funds for the Pasadena Unified School District community, much of it to maintain programs that are consistently threatened by budget cuts, including visual and performing arts, field trips, and health care for low-income students.
• Completing the roll-out of My Masterpieces: Discovering Art in My Community, the award-winning visual arts education program in partnership with 12 community partners, to all K-6 classrooms in the district, more than 300 teachers and 9,000 students.
• Increasing the number of Teacher Grants awarded to 59 for a total of $47,000.
• Increasing enrollment in the Summer Enrichment Program by 18% to just over 1,300 students in 2013.
• Expanding the College and Career Pathways program to include the new Law and Public Service Academy and the App Academy, both at Pasadena High School.
