How does this organization make a difference?

Overview

Self-reported by organization

The Mailbox Club produces Christ-centered Bible courses and facilitates their translation and distribution around the world for people of all ages, with particular emphasis on children and young people. Our vision is to train thousands of volunteer mentors in local churches around the world through which our Bible lessons are disseminated. These key ministry partners in the Body of Christ share our calling to evangelize and disciple the children. We also support our ministry partners by training them in the best practices we have learned in follow-up ministry since 1965.

Program 1

Non-Christian Cultures

There are millions of children who have no concept of a God in Heaven who loves them nor of His Son, Jesus, who came to earth to die for their sins so that they may know God personally. The Mailbox Club (TMC) is partnered with a variety of international ministries who are working to acquaint precious boys and girls with the Gospel of Jesus Christ and the dynamic change He can bring to their hearts. TMC is assisting these ministries with their discipleship efforts with about 1.1 million children located in Africa and Asia immersed in Islam, Hinduism, Buddhism, Animisn and other indigenous beliefs. A $150,000 matching grant is being offered by a generous foundation to assist with this effort. Please give and pray for these children and workers as God speaks to their hearts!

Program 2

Africa/Middle East Discipleship Program

God has opened tremendous doors of opportunity in Africa and the Middle East to reach over 1/2 million children for Christ through many new and existing partnerships in 22 countries. The Mailbox Club (TMC) recruits and trains godly adult mentors to directly teach these tender children our Bible lessons in their own language. We expect to see at least 75% of these children complete a series of Bible lessons and many to accept Jesus Christ as their peronal Savior. A matching grant of $60,000 has been offered by an anonymous donor to help with this project. The value of your gift will be doubled! Please pray and give and see the harvest the God will reap!

Program 3

My Hope India

Over 800,000 children are being invited to enroll in The Mailbox Club (TMC) through the viewing of a children's national telecast throughout all of the states of India this year. Over 400,000 volunteer mentors, recruited through over 18,000 churches, have been trained to directly teach these responsive children the Scriptures through TMC Bible lessons. Please pray that "the word of the Lord may run swiftly and be glorified" (2 Thess. 3:1).

Funding Needs

Two matching grants are currently open for projects in Africa, Asia and the Middle East.   1. NON-CHRISTIAN CULTURES: $150,000 needed to help underwrite our work in 26 countries in Africa and Asia to teach 1.1 million precious children the Scriptures. We expect to see over 648,000 children to complete a series of Bible lessons through trained adult godly mentors. The total budget is $499,896. The light of the glorious Gospel is being shined upon these darkened hearts living in cultures dominated by Islam, Hinduism, Buddhism, Animism and other indigenous beliefs.   2. AFRICA/MIDDLE EAST: $60,000 is needed to match a grant being offered by an anonymous donor to help in our work in 25 countries reaching out to over 667,050 tender-hearted children this year. Over two dozen ministry partners and a host of churches are engaged to provide these impressionable hearts with the Gospel of Jesus Christ and nurture them in the Scriptures.   Please help us with your gift and prayers. God is providing a harvest to be reaped as we labor in these fields!

Principal Officer

Mr. John Mark Eager

STATEMENT FROM THE Principal Officer

"The Gospel of Mark is a fast-moving account of the life of Jesus Christ. In the first chapter alone, Jesus was baptized by John the Baptist, tempted by Satan for 40 days, cast out demons, healed Peter's mother-in-law and other sick people, including a leper!

At the end of Chapter One, I was struck with the phrase "and they came from every direction." As humans, we are finite, limited and can only deal with so many things at one time. My wife, Carrie, and I have five children - from 13 years old down to a toddler. Often, they all want something at the same time and we feel overwhelmed as they are coming at us from every direction!

How awesome is our God that He can handle our coming to Him from every direction, each of us with our own story and needs! What a privilege to have unlimited access to His throne of grace, to have our Savior interceding for us, and the Spirit as our Guide and Comforter!

Last year, at The Mailbox Club, working with countless partners and volunteers in 93 countries, had 3.2 million students enrolled. Imagine 3.2 million students seeking the Lord Jesus! Imagine His throne of grace, open 24/7 to all who come to Him!

We praise God for the wonderful partners we are serving: Samaritan's Purse/Operation Christmas Child, Child Evangelism Fellowship, The Jesus Film Project, Source of Light Ministries, Evangelism Explosion, Compassion International, World Vision, Gospel Mission of India and thousands of local churches! Tens of thousands of godly volunteer mentors through these partners are trained to work directly with hundreds of thousands of children among the masses in large cities to rural, isolated villages.

Of the 2.6 million children who completed a series of Bible lessons last year, over 1.5 million tender hearts indicated having prayed to receive Him as Savior. The cost per convert averaged $2.40 and the cost per graduate from a series of lessons averaged $1.50! What an investment!

Please pray and give! We are in the harvest fields!"
