Mission Statement

The Society recognizes that history is the key to understanding who we were, who we are, and who we shall be. We provide the facility and means to collect, preserve and share information regarding the heritage of the County and surrounding region, and encourage interest in historical and genealogical research, and in preservation of local historic properties, sites, and artifacts.

Our vision is to be an educational resource and community leader committed to collecting, preserving and sharing the records of people, places and events, so that future generations may find common interest and knowledge in the unique heritage of our County and surrounding region.
