Guiding tours and conducting programs
for thousands of our residents and visitors including students in the schools, tourists and genealogists through the historic lakeside cottage, the Fillebrown House, our resources and our online presence.

BIO

Sara Markoe Hanson holds a Bachelor's Degree in American Studies with an emphasis on Heritage Preservation and a Master's Degree in Public History, both from St. Cloud State University. In addition to her education and professional experience with the Minnesota Historical Society and the Marathon County Historical Society in Wausau, WI, Hanson has deep roots in the White Bear community and brings a passion for the area's history that is hard to match.
