Mission Statement

Founded in 1971; registered with the IRS in 1974. INSAF provides modest but steady support to the cause of education and uplifting of the disadvantaged in India. INSAF also supports a few public service projects in the USA. Formerly called the Friends of Panjab University Alumni Association, USA (FOPUAA). Changed its name in 1994 to reflect FOPUAA's all-India focus almost since its inception. INSAF members live throughout the United States. In summary, INSAF's members goal is to give back a little to places in India where they got their start or where they feel the need is there, and to support projects that improve Indo-US relations at a people's level.
