The library in coordination with it Friends (volunteer) Group established three new fundraising events: a Dog walk, a 5k Run and a two week-end play showing. CHILDREN'S PROGRAMING - The program attendance at juvenile programing increased 10% in 2013.WEBSITE AND SOCIAL MEDIA - The library created new visual appealing homepage that places special emphasis on social media for enhanced marking and communications. Top Goals for 2014: Creating of a 5 year strategic planDevelop a long-term Facilities PlanImplementing new annual "Wine and Cheese" fundraiserIncreased the number of corporate sponsors

Children's Story Times

Story Time programs introduce young children to books, rhymes, music and other fun activities. Every week the library offers programs matched to the typical attention spans and developmental levels of different ages of children. Library Story Times incorporate the early literacy skills that children must master before they can learn to read.

Play Group

Community playgroups are fun and open to everyone. All members are involved in the planning, organization and running of their playgroup.Our Playgroup is for parents and caregivers with children aged birth to 24 months. At playgroup, children make new friends, discover new experiences, gain self-confidence and develop physically, socially, emotionally and intellectually. Parents make friends, spend special time with their children, exchange parenting ideas and build support networks. Playgroup can ease the isolation often felt by parents with young children.

STATEMENT FROM THE Principal Officer

"Our slogan, "a world for everyone!" is our commitment to offer tools of knowledge that informs, inspires and enriches our community. The library is a safe, inviting environment for discovery, play and learning. Children have opportunities to engage in playful activities that promote early literacy. Adults can enjoy best sellers, attend virtual rouse of museums, join a book club, or continue a journey of lifelong learning. Teens can download music or check out Young Adult print or electronics books. "
