Monthly Educational Program Series (Sept-May)

Open to the Public. Feature topics such as ethnic diversity and the importance of local history in your life. Guest speakers include labor union leaders, best-selling authors, university professors, historical society volunteers who have researched significant societal events that impacted the lives of our local residents.

Previous Topics covered: Underground Railroad (abolitionists, politics, and the struggle against slavery); The Life and Times of Negro League Player Ted Toles, Jr; Early Years of Black Cinema; Women of WWII; Impact of D-Day on the end of WWII; Impact of Iron & Steel Industries in Western PA; Life and times of early tradesmen and women; Model railroading; Search for missing in action of WWII
