How does this organization make a difference?

Overview

Self-reported by organization

Since its inception, ECHOES has sought to bring about positive change in the lives of under-resourced children. Education is the only true path out of poverty. Our support of Trinity Children's Centre and Centenary High School has brought about the rebuilding of the Ugandan infrastructure through the education of so many children . Many of those offered scholarships through ECHOES have gone on to become leaders of business, finance, medicine and education. Our support has increased the physical plants of both schools maximizing student enrollment to 1200-1400 primary school students on four separate campuses and 780 secondary school boarding students. Both schools test in the top schools of their districts each year. Double Cure Medical Clinic, provides emergency outpatient critical care to the Mpigi district and outlying villages. ECHOES' support of DCMC has created a medical facility that treats 450-500 patients a week. Its dental treatment area, laboratory, pharmacy, surgical and patient wings have been made possible through ECHOES funds and professional support over the past several years. Our partnership with the St. James School in Philadelphia brings our ability to impact educational programs closer to home. ECHOES has provided funding for their music and arts education program as well as providing for a variety of other needs including a van for safe student transportation.
