How does this organization make a difference?

Overview

Self-reported by organization

There will be a focus on educating the community regarding humane care of companion animals.

There will be an emphasis on the importance and benefits of spaying and neutering.

There will be resource information available through cooperation with other humane organizations and local veterinarians. These resources will be made available for anyone in need.

There will be a carefully monitored adoption process for those animals in the care of Friends For Life Animal Haven.

There will be a “no kill” policy which means:

·         No animal will be euthanized unless it has an incurable, contagious  disease and is ill as a result of that disease.

·         No animal will be euthanized unless by prolonging its life would be prolonging its suffering.

·         No animal will be euthanized unless it has been proven to be a danger to humans.

·         If a veterinarian can verify a female animal is pregnant she will not be spayed unless continuing the pregnancy will jeopardize the life of the mother.
