Charting impact
Four powerful questions that require reflection about what really matters - results.
What is the organization aiming to accomplish?
Over the course of the 2014-2015 season Florida Arts, Inc. programming attracted over 105,000 people.
Due to delays in the restoration of our upper floors we were unable to offer as many educational programs as we anticipated. We were still able to engage youth at many of our exhibitions and performances, and still conducted outreach activities throughout Southwest Florida. As we near the completion of the restoration of the upper floors, we will be able to offer greater arts education programs in upcoming seasons.
What are the organization's key strategies for making this happen?
Our increased ticket purchases and increased participation show that the Southwest Florida Audience is engaging more frequently and at higher levels. From our electronic evaluation we had similar results and we also learned the methods our patrons are learning about our events, overwhelmingly through friends and families, followed by local newspapers and then social media.
What are the organization's capabilities for doing this?
Florida Arts, Inc. always takes patron feedback seriously in evaluating the success and continuation of our events.
We utilize both anecdotal responses, electronic surveys, and ticket sales or attendance counts to judge help gauge the impact of our events on our community. The Art Center's programming engaged over 105,000 people this season. From analyzing ticket sales, social media analytics, and e-newsletter analytics we have gained greater insight into what programs are more successful at reaching and engaging audiences.
What have they accomplished so far and what's next?
There are two phases remaining to complete the restoration of the historic former Federal Building as a state-of-the-art Art Center. The rooftop sculpture garden and reception aria and in the planning phase now and funding is in place. The restoration is in need of funding to go forward.
Programming at the Art Center continues to grow with the space available and the audience development. We continue to bring more and more world class artists and performers to the Center.
