Program 1

Service for Sight

The Foundation raises money to support our philanthropic work - Service for Sight. We founded and fund four schools for blind or visually impaired children. In addition to those annual grants provided to the four schools, we support 51 other organizations which share and further our mission. We have totaled more than $3.15 million since the Foundation’s incorporation in 1951. Through a labor of love, our collegians and alumnae have served these organizations with precious service hours. In the past twenty years, 1.5 million hours have been logged for Service for Sight!

Our Sisters Helping Sisters: Need-Based Scholarship program offers $2,500 to assist collegiate members who have proven financial need or who find themselves in a sudden or unexpected financial crisis. Grants to the Fraternity

Every year the Foundation provides a large grant to the Delta Gamma Fraternity to fund educational and leadership programming. In 2013 the Delta Gamma Foundation gave $500,000 to the Fraternity.
This grant helps fund our Collegiate Development Consultant program which strengthens the knowledge and support of our collegiate chapters. This grants pays for one collegian from each chapter to attend our leadership academy. This grant covers GreekLife.edu which is our social awareness program to educate our members and alcohol, hazing and sexual assault. Our PRO program is also funded through this grant. The PRO program allows women in fields of expertise to share their knowledge and experience with both our collegiate and alumnae chapters.
