How does this organization make a difference?

Overview

Self-reported by organization

During our years of pastoring, we encountered numerous church members that had a real desire to serve the Lord in a greater way, but were already on a career and family path that precluded the possibility of formal Bible college attendance. This need developed into a plan to establish a Bible school that would enable those with such desires, in addition to young people just getting started in life, to receive a quality Bible education. The Lord enabled us to bring this plan to fruition just over 10 years ago, when Southwest Bible College was formed. Please take a look at our website where much more information is available. www.southwestbiblecollege.org(http://www.southwestbiblecollege.org/)

Funding Needs

We have obtained approximate bids for the next things that need to be done. Namely, the grading of the property ($141,000.00), and the connection to the sewer line, which is 22 feet below grade, and in the center of the street ($129,000.00). When these things are completed, we will be able to move forward incrementally, and will be able to incorporate volunteer labor for much of the remainder of the project, which we anticipate to cost upwards of $500,000.00 in additional funds. In an attitude of faith that the Lord will provide, the SWBC Board recently set a date for our groundbreaking celebration. That date is November 14, 2010.

We have obtained tentative estimates for the next things that need to be done. Namely, the grading of the property ($141,000.00), and the connection to the sewer line, which is 22 feet below grade, and in the center of the street ($129,000.00).
