Established in 1991, the Huntington County Community foundation's mission is to work to enhance the quality of life in Huntington County, providing leadership and opportunities through the development and utilization of a growing endowment fund

Grantmaking Program

The Foundation funds charitable projects that will make a positive impact on Huntington County and its people. The Foundation is particularly interested in ideas that shed new light on local needs and provide innovative, long term solutions.

Categories include: Arts & Culture, Health, Civic Affairs, Recreation, Community Development, Welfare and Education.

Grants will not be awarded for operating funds, political projects or for political campaigns.

Requests for funding are reviewed by the Foundation’s Grants Committee. Their recommendations are forwarded to the Foundation’s Board of Directors, with whom grant-making authority resides.
