Self-reported by organization

Ministry of Hope operates two crisis nurseries (one in Lilongwe, one in Mzuzu).  Ministry of Hope also manages seven community based orphan care centers, provides scholarships, operates nursery schools and income generating projects to benefit orphans and vulnerable children in rural villages. Our mobile medical clinic serves village members of all ages, providing health care which is otherwise inaccessible to thousands in rural areas.  Our scholarship program has expanded from secondary school students to include more students in tertiary education: college or trade school.  A recent Tearfund, UK grant is providing support needed support.

Goals for 2010 include more income generating activities, more vocational training opportunities and micro-finance projects.
