Mission Statement

Montana Preservation Alliance saves and protects Montana's historic places, traditional landscapes,and cultural heritage. We are the only statewide non-profit organization dedicated to providing Montanans the resources necessary to preserve our state's unique history and culture.

Montana's Most Endangered Places

Our annual list of the state's most significant historic properties at risk of demolition or loss brings much needed attention these threatened landmarks. MPA works on all fronts to change the fate of these historic resources.

Each year MPA honors people who have made a difference to Montana's heritage by helping to preserve our state's historic and cultural resources. Not only do the awards draw attention to the ways in which preserving Montana heritage and culture can breath new economic life into a community, they also give due credit to those people who have saved places that are near and dear to their hearts.
