Program 1

The Electronic Literature Organization's programs include a Web Resource Center and Electronic Literature Directory, programs to bring live readings of electronic literature into schools and libraries, a series of prizes for electronic literature, and a new publishing models symposium. ELO programs are intended to spur both creative applications of the electronic media and are based on collaborations with other nonprofit organizations, industry leaders, and educational institutions. Currently, ELO is engaged in writing and publishing a series of pamphlets laying out principles and goals for the preservation of existing e-literature, as well as ways to improve the durability of future born-digital writing.
