Mission Statement

The mission of the Michael G. Nicholas Foundation is to fund education of Orthodox Christians living in 3rd world countries who could not otherwise afford to attend school because they are orphaned or come from poor families.

The Michael G. Nicholas Foundation is a grant-making organization that makes grants to Orthodox Christian institutions (churches, schools, orphanages, agencies, etc) in developing countries that provide education to Orthodox Christian children. It also manages scholarship programs and zero-interest loan scholarships in areas where the Orthodox Church does not have the necessary infrastructure to provide education or receive grants.

BIO

Michael G. Nicholas is sole trustee of the Michael G. Nicholas Foundation. He has a BSEE from the University of Illinois and is an electrical engineer for 3Com designing Telecommunications equipment. He is active in the Orthodox Church and has gone on several short-term mission trips to Uganda, Kenya, Cameroon, and Mexico.
