Our monthly lecture series welcomes speakers on various history-related topics from glacial geology to historic lake levels to the Native American history in our area.

Retired school teachers provided guided tours to local grade school students. The tours utilize the content of our permanent exhibits and customize the content of each tour based on grade level and corresponding curriculum.

Program 3

Little Traverse Lighthouse Tour

A one-day public tour of the otherwise privately owned 1884 Little Traverse Lighthouse at the tip of Harbor Point. This fall fundraising tour is held occasionally (the last tour was 2011, the next tour is planned for 2014) with permission from the Harbor Point Association. A spring tour for local fourth grade students is also held.
