TO SPONSOR AND ENCOURAGE CULTURAL AND EDUCATION ACTIVITIES IN LIVINGSTON COUNTY; TO SPONSOR COOPERATIVE PLANNING, RESEARCH, FUNDRAISING AND PUBLIC EDUCATION TO BENEFIT THE ARTS WITHIN LIVINGSTON COUNTY

The LAC owns the historic 1881 Howell Opera House.  We serve Howell, Brighton, Hartland, Fowlerville and Pinckney.  We serve all of Livingston County which is partially rural.  We have the ability to draw an audience from Ann Arbor, Detroit, Lansing and Flint, being less than 50 miles from each large city.

Got Art

Art Teachers for all Livingston County Schools select up to 20 pieces of art to display during the last two weeks of March art show at the Howell Opera House.  First week is elementary and middle school students and the second is high school students.  Over 1,000 pieces of art were displayed in 2011 and there were 1,500 adults and children attended.
