Funding Needs

The Macomb Center for the Performing Arts prides itself on a "something for everyone" programming approach, providing inclusive opportunitites for all residents.  With the recent economic downturn, the arts are especially vulnerable.  In order to address this problem, the Macomb Center is working to provide free or low cost services to residents and particularly to students.  Additional funding is needed to support these programs that provide a vital resource to the community. Lorenzo Cultural Center provides learning opportunities for all segments of the population and has begun to establish itself as a destination for schools, families and individuals.  Admission to the Center and to most programs is free to the public, with a few events requiring a nominal fee. While partnerships with other cultural organizations help the Center share resources, the majority of funding comes from Macomb Community College.
