Mission Statement

Green Bay Botanical Garden stimulates an appreciation for and an understanding of the world of horticulture and the enduring relationships between plants and people.  Through our volunteers and staff, we serve people of all ages by providing year-round educational and recreational experiences within an environment that enriches, inspires and refreshes.

Green Bay Botanical Garden welcomed nearly 70,000 visitors, adult and school tours, and adults and students for educational programs during the 2010 calendar year from throughout the 50 United States and all seven continents.

Program 1

Green Bay Botanical Garden's programs include children's school tours and outreach, adult tours, continuing education classes and annual symposia. We have annual special events including the Garden Fair, Garden Walk, Summer Concerts and Garden of Lights to raise awareness of plants and their importance in people's lives. We also serve as a learning laboratory for students in the Landscape Horticulture Program at Northeast Wisconsin Technical College.

Susan Garot, Executive Director, has been with Green Bay Botanical Garden since 2008. She has a diverse background in the field of management of non-profit organizations (10 years) as well as owning and managing a hotel development and management company for 13 years.  She has a BA from University of Wisconsin-Green Bay in Management of Non-Profit Organizations.

STATEMENT FROM THE Principal Officer

"Green Bay Botanical Garden serves as a community resource for individuals looking to learn about gardening and horticulture on a personal level, as well as provides the learning laboratory for thousands of school children each year to supplant many of the science curricula from grade school through senior high.  We also provide the community with arts and entertainment in the form of special events and activities throughout the year, including garden & plant sales, concerts and other family and social events in the garden, family fun days, and our winter garden of lights show."
