Mission Statement

The United
Inventors Association is the national non-profit dedicated to inventor education
and support. It recently launched a 10-part miniseries entitled What Every Inventor Needs to Know. The UIA
also manages the industry Certification program for local inventor groups and
professional service providers who comply with rigorous professional and ethical
standards. Since 1990, the UIA has gathered thousands of members among
independent inventors and innovators, academia, small and medium businesses and

Patrick Raymond

BIO

Patrick
runs daily operations at the UIA. He previously served as a Board Director and is also founder of the Inventors Association of Manhattan (www.Manhattan-Inventors.org(http://www.manhattan-inventors.org/) ).
Patrick knows the challenges facing inventors, having invented,
patented, raised capital, manufactured and secured international
distribution for his own consumer product. Since 2006, he hosts a
workshop at the annual Yankee Expo and was its keynote speaker in 2007
and product judge in 2008. Patrick brings first-hand knowledge to the
UIA, as well as experience in strategic marketing and a tech-savvy
perspective. Prior to his invention success, he worked in advertising
agencies including Wunderman/Y&R, Ogilvy & Mather and DDB. Over
a 10-year career that spanned the globe, he worked on brands such as
Microsoft, Gannett, IBM, Coke, Kraft and Air France. Patrick has a BA
in Mass Communications and an MBA.
