Mission Statement

H.A.L.O. grew out of a need in the community to assist individuals with the procurement of their G.E.D.,to eradicate computer illiteracy, and assist families by providing them with basic nourishment. We have plans to provide onsite daycare, with an emphasis on early childhood education, for students while they are in class. We opened our doors in August 2000 and the G.E.D Class, Computer Class, and Food Pantry are going strong. We plan to continually expand our outreach and duplicate it in various locations.

Our newest program is Infinite Scholars. We believe there is an infinite number of scholarships available and we match qualified students with Colleges and Universities that have monies. The G.E.D. class has approximately 15 students working at their own pace, if necessary a personal tutor will be provided to assist students. Our Computer Class will begin a new cycle on Jan. 2nd 2003 and we have 60 request for admittance. Our last two classes were 12 & 15 persons.
