STATEMENT FROM THE Executive Director

" The Institute for Higher Education Policy states that because paying for college is a major obstacle for many people looking to pursue higher education, many countries, including the United States, are increasingly turning to philanthropy in an attempt to fill the gap between the rising costs of higher education and limited state funding.

Today, the non-profit sector is where change becomes a reality and where we address some of society's most daunting public problems. In our community, education is the cornerstone of our economic well-being and quality of life and it is where we must invoke change.

As such, Stars Scholarship Fund's success at raising, managing and providing scholarships to students who might not otherwise have the resources to pursue higher education is essential.

Together, as we help increase the earning power of individuals through education, we also raise their ability to become greater contributors to our local economy as consumers and tax payers. The educational opportunity Stars Scholarship Fund provides to student's from our community impacts the future for all of us.""
